New but improved?
Live large is a mass gainer from titan nutrition, this has been revamped with the addition of native whey concentrate. Mass gainers are a hot commodity here in South Africa and with so many choices and local brands out Live large has plenty of competition and with the great new additions to the titan range this one has a lot riding on it.
Formula
This is a clean mass gainer which is certainly a rarity especially in this segment. This contains 5g of creatine mono per 100g which is my usual suggestion. A fast and slow release maltodextrin carb source powers live large with its quality native whey protein concentrate. With no soy, virtually lactose free, added in omega 3 + 6 and l glutamine – this is certainly a mass gainer that’s huge on quality with some great additions thrown into the mix.
If you want a quality mass gainer or meal replacement look no further, impressive is an understatement.

There are only in 2 flavor options, thus far - monster chocolate and vanilla gorilla . Titan has certainly improved a ton when it comes to taste in general so I definitely have high hopes vanilla gorilla will be as good as monster chocolate.

Effectiveness
For me personally I used this as I saw fit, being a blend of slow and fast release of maltodextrin made this, in my mind a very good meal replacement but then again it's all about preference. If this was straight fast digesting carb source it would be a post workout must but being that this was a combo made opt otherwise.
There was no indigestion or unwanted gas, which is most usually the biggest plot twist when it comes to anything substantially packed with calories. Being somewhat a tad sensitive to lactose I can attest that this was easy on the stomach and this worked out great as a pre workout liquid meal if you must.
The 5g of creatine monohydrate is both a gift and curse, curse being if your pre and /or post workout contains creatine but as it stood I didn't encounter that problem. Creatine is all about saturation so having it anytime is okay as long as you hit that 5g mark. The added goodies such as glutamine and omega 3+6 and of course the superior quality native whey protein concentrate yielded better recovery and immunity - plus importantly it aided me in hitting my caloric goals which should be one of the main reasons why one buys a mass gainer.

Overall
Brutally impressive stuff once again, this is certainly my favorite mass gainer /meal replacement at the moment and certainly one everyone can agree on - this is quality and pride is taken with live large. If you are an ectomorph or someone wanting a solid mrp or needs extra calories this is certainly a must have. Titan is certainly on top of the game at the minute
